Coinciding with the New Moon in Pisces, this Tarot Message also sets the tone for the month ahead. Every other messages until the following New Moon must be assessed in light of this card.
In the Mythic Tarot, the Ten of Swords represents the trial of Orestes for the murder of his mother and uncle, an act he had to commit to avenge his father's murder. Relentlessly, the Furies haunted him and exhausted with the pain of his guilty conscience, he turns to Athena, the Goddess of Reason. She finally pus an end to his torment, and by doing so, releases his lineage from the family curse that had besieged it.
Obviously our lives are not as dramatic nor as tragic as Orestes'.
What this card announces is the end of a situation that has created mental anguish in our lives, however serious or light the situation may have been.
In order to finally end this matter in our lives, we must face reality and the cold hard facts.
There is no place for emotions, nor flights of fancy or ego tantrums in the week ahead and the month to come.
This card also brings the positive message that we will find in our midsts the resources and people that can help us see the light and move forward with what we must do to find peace again.
